German Yilixin 426 Scratch PenIt is a portable testing instrument produced by ERICHSEN in Germany, used for making standard scratches on samples in corrosion tests, with a tungsten carbide pen tip diameter of 0.5mm.

Used to create special scratches on the surface of the protective coating, scratch the test sample with a test needle at the beginning of the corrosion test and at regular time intervals. These scratches are horizontal, one above the other and * at the bottom of the short side of the template. By using this method, it is easy to study the progress of corrosion.
The spherical tungsten scratch needle with a diameter of 0.5mm (0.020 ") is firmly installed on the pen shaped handle made of oxidized hard aluminum, with a particularly comfortable design to ensure stable use during scratch operations
The spherical test point has undergone the following durability tests:
A round steel with a diameter of 100mm (4 ") on the lathe was scratched on its surface by a scratch needle at a speed of 20cm/s (8") and a pressure of 50 N (11 Lbs). After running for 18000cm (600ft), the spherical test point did not show any damage. This means it can scratch 2000 90 mm (31/2 ") long scratches without damage.
